WORKING WITH CLIENTS WHILE TRAINING
In the interest of patient care and the integrity of professional training courses:
1. All face to face patient orientated work must be supervised by the tutor.
2. Such supervision may not necessarily involve the actual presence of your tutor but your tutor must monitor, guide and approve any interventions, advice or hands on treatment before it is applied to the patient.
3. Students must not charge a fee and make clear to the patient that they are students under supervision and are therefore not allowed to charge a fee - but can accept a donation towards the cost of their training if the patient so chooses.
4. All students are expected to have read and discussed with their tutor the ANM code of ethics and agreed to abide by them.
5. Students must maintain confidentiality between other students at all times.
6. If a student decides to discontinue his studies for any reason then the course fees are still payable in full.
7. All course fees must be paid for before taking the final examinations. Payment options:

8. The Progressive Kinesiology syllabus is exclusive to trained Instructors and as such all material given on the course is confidential and is not to be copied or shared unless proper Instructor training is completed.
9. Students are required to wear a white top and dark coloured trousers during class time.
10. Students must declare any infectious diseases that may cause risk to fellow students, tutors or clients.
11. Students must agree to hand in homework at the time stated by the tutor unless prior arrangement is made. Students must gain 65% to pass home work.
12. Students must maintain two portfolios, one containing course information and the other to present to the examination panel containing case studies, dissertation and home work as applicable. This must be typed where possible or clearly legible.
13. Students must hand in 20 case studies during the Foundation course and 40 case studies during the Diploma course.
14. Students must achieve a minimum of 80% attendance to qualify for entry to the examination. A pass rate of 65% is required. Students who achieve less than 50% will be asked to re-sit a new paper. Those achieving between 50% and 65% will be advised on their areas of weakness and be required to re-sit their lowest scoring questions.
15. No books are to be taken into the examination room unless specified e.g. Touch for Health manual.
16. Students must notify their tutor of any special circumstances such as dyslexia, physical handicap or English as a second language, prior to the commencement of the course.
17. Students on the Diploma course must be student members of the Association of Natural Medicine and the Kinesiology Federation and provide their own student insurance.
18. On successful completion of the Diploma course Students must have four mentoring sessions a year for the first two years and then will be offered mentoring on an optional basis. Continuing Professional Development of at least fifteen hours a year is required after the first year of graduation.
19. Students must complete the core subjects of Anatomy and Physiology, Counselling Skills, Nutritional studies, Practice Management and First Aid. (K.Fed requirements).
20. Complaints about the course, tutor or fellow students must follow the correct complaints procedure. (ANM Complaints sheet).
21. The Progressive Kinesiology Academy reserves the absolute right to refuse admission onto a course or to request that a student discontinues a course where this is deemed necessary.
22. If a student is asked to leave a course, after careful consideration by the Governing council, then course fees are still payable up to the amount of training that has been received.
23. Students must provide two written references as to their suitability to train to be a professional Kinesiologist. These must be from non-family members who have known the candidate for at least two years, one of which must be known to them in a professional capacity.

Criminal Conviction Form
PROGRESSIVE KINESIOLOGY APPLICANTS
CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS DISCLOSURE
1. All applicants applying for training must disclose any criminal convictions.
2. The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 provides that certain convictions shall be regarded as 'spent' after specified periods of time have elapsed and you do not need to disclose convictions that are 'spent' at the date you sign the application form. You are however required to disclose all 'unspent' convictions.
3. Please remember that a conviction includes:
a) A sentence of imprisonment, youth custody or borstal training
b) An absolute discharge, conditional discharge, binds over
c) A fit person order, suspension or care order, a probation order or an approved school order arising from a criminal conviction
d) Simple dismissal from the Armed Forces, cashiering, discharge with ignominy, dismissal with disgrace or detention by the Armed Forces.
e) Detention centre, remand home, or attendance centre orders
g) A suspended sentence
h) A fine or any other sentence not mentioned above
